The audition for entry to the Ecole Supérieure du Cndc - Angers takes place every three years.
Students are selected in two stages. At the end, 20 candidates are selected to join the school.

Pre-selection based on applications

Applications (closed on 17 January 2027 - 23:59).
After pre-selection, the candidates selected for the audition will receive an email by 1st March 2027.

Audition

Candidates selected on the basis of a pre-selection of applications will take part in the audition at the Cndc studios in Angers from 19 to 23 April 2027.

Attendance at the audition in Angers is mandatory.
However, candidates who do not reside in continental Europe may request an exception to participate in the audition via videoconference. To do so, in addition to submitting their application, they must send an email to auditions@cndc.fr.
If you are shortlisted, you will be notified of whether your request has been approved or denied in the reply email.

Pre-selection based on applications

The application file consists of:

• the online form
• a presentation video:
  The applicant briefly describes their background and the strengths of their application to the Cndc school, then explains what motivates them to apply specifically to this school.
  This video must be filmed in a quiet place so that the content is perfectly audible.
  Maximum duration: 2 minutes.
• a dance video:
  It can be an excerpt from a piece choreographed by the candidate, an excerpt from a repertoire piece – choreographed by a third party, or an improvisation.
  Avoid overly edited videos; opt for long takes instead — the goal is to clearly see the candidate dance.
  Maximum duration: 1 minute.
• A video reflecting on a work:
  The candidate chooses a performing arts work, gives a brief presentation on it, and explains why this work interests them. The goal is to go beyond the initial “I like it / I don’t like it” assessment and try to identify the reasons behind this interest.
  Note: The exercise provided is intended to encourage you to share your thoughts. There are no right or wrong answers. We recommend that you avoid using AI, which combines existing content and may therefore distort or diminish each candidate’s personal perspective.
  This video must be recorded in a quiet place so that the audio is perfectly audible.
  It may be in French or English.
  Duration: 1 to 2 minutes.

Videos are to be sent exclusively via the links indicated in the registration form, in the corresponding sections.

Applications will only be considered once we have received the complete and compliant files and the corresponding payment.
